Photo of the Day: World's Smallest Chameleon
A group of scientists has announced a discovery of a species of chameleon small enough to easily perch on a match head on a tiny island off Madagascar.
The new species are known to be one of the smallest vertebrates ever found on Earth, Brookesia micra, the tiniest chameleon ever discovered. Adult males of the Brookesia micra species grow to only just over a half-inch (16 millimeters) from nose to tail. This chameleon is so small that you can perches on your fingertip.
