Many people across South Carolina said they were awakened by a loud boom and flash of light early Monday morning on February 13, 2012.
Many people across the Upstate called FOX Carolina and said they heard strange sound and mysterious flash of light from the sky. Most of the reports of the unusual phenomenon came from people living in Cherokee, Spartanburg and Greenville counties at about 1:45 a.m.
Some people believe it is a UFO, while others are still stuck by the incident and can decide what cause them.
Officials at the National Weather Service at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport managed to capture the flash in the sky about 1:46 a.m. The recorded of flash in the sky can be found in the news video below.
