Man Claims Ghost Strangled Wife

A Wisconsin man was charge with attempted strangulation, battery, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He claimed a ghost lead him to strangle his wife, he told police, “A ghost did it”. He blamed that a ghost possessed him. Did he really get possessed by a ghost? What lead this ghost to assault and resist his arrest by police?

A Wisconsin man named Michael West was just busted for beating his wife during a domestic dispute. He was charged with attempted strangulation, battery, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. According to the Smoking Gun, when the cops arrived at his place, they found his wife, Rebecca, "crying very hard and bleeding from her nose."

Now, as disturbing and awful as this is, the alleged crime itself isn't the thing that's most shocking regarding this whole mess. Michael's excuse is. When policed questioned him about what happened to his wife, he told them, "A ghost did it."

After some struggle with West regarding his asinine ghost story, police officers placed him under arrest. They claim he was intoxicated and have ordered him to stay sober.

According to Rebecca’s description to police, Michael began choking her in their kitchen after they started arguing about money. Apparently, West told her that it was her fault their house is in foreclosure. To which she responded that she was the only one working -- while he sat at home. The rest is ghost-laden history. Michael denied choking his wife (see above), but admitted that the two had hit one another during their argument.

 This story was strange from the start, what ever reason or excuse that man have to lead him to strangle his wife we can only speculate it caused by intoxication of alcohol. The facts he is possessed by ghost or not, and the ghost did it, only he will truly know. But for the rest of the world it is obviously the main reason for this cockamamie excuse is alcohol.
